Common faults we see

What is actually wrong with your screen.

Gel bubble & touch event

Classic GS3 / 2630 fault. Gel between the touch panel and LCD breaks down, gets cloudy, eventually triggers Touchscreen Event warnings. We extract the gel, replace the touch panel, reseal.

Cracked glass

Touch glass cracked from impact — often the LCD beneath is fine. Touch panel replacement only.

Dim or dark backlight

Backlight LEDs failing — particularly common on 4600 / 4640. Backlight strip replacement restores brightness.

Unresponsive touch

Touch panel digitiser failure. Diagnosed against a known-good motherboard before committing to the repair.
